I think that’s apt.
To me, who has watched only one episode and don’t know whether my wife will want to watch more, many scenes looked greenscreened, the actors all act cute and cocky, smashed in bustlines with tops always showing, shapeless women, wokey mixture of races and fatties, scenes change too fast (to end them before they become boring), a narration using the original author’s words which is a crutch used with the hope of rescuing a poor screenplay.
And yes, true to Netflix, there’s screwing aplenty.
A poor attempt at riding the momentum of Downton Abby and Victoria.
Best-acted character is the Black earl.
That’s what I got from the first episode.
Half watched it as the wife wanted to see it. Wouldn’t call it porn.
What I would call it is inaccurate and not particularly well written.
