‘Summer of 42” was long ago. My generation looked at these things far differently. Some of us had wonderful women who helped us come of age. Was surprised to see that movie still exists in some form.

At 16 a lot of women took advantage of me.

I never spoke a word about them, don’t speak a word about any women in the ensuing years and never will

I don’t want to ever live with woman but, other than that, they are wonderful and their affairs should be kept private....

I recall seeing the first run of “Summer of 42”. I know it’s fictional drama, but it shows massive disrespect for a fallen GI.

There’s nothing wrong with a widow moving on to another relationship after a mourning period, but this movie had it happening way too soon with a person way too young.

Just my opinion.
