If you are hoping this will level the playing field the the social media realm, I would posit the theory that it will not.

It would potentially give legitimate channels to challenge censorship, particularly in how it could be harming businesses. So for that reason alone, I think most of us would be for it.

But this was needed more than 10 years ago.
Twitter, Facebook, and Google have grown so big, they can afford legions and legions of lawyers. The small upstarts and medium sized companies cannot. In fact, I would suggest that it could open up a cold war by the big dogs to use litigation against up-and-coming competitors.

Companies like Google want this. They can shrug off a million lawsuits. But it will be used to destroy the small players just starting to rise as an alternative. Goodbye Rumble, Bitchute, and Parler!
