I'm only marginally familiar with this, but I think they used a third party briber rather than the traditional method of contributing directly to the school and sucking up to the fund raising and admissions staff.
That’s how many famous buildings got built at USC. It’s a tradition there.
Precisely! Like I said earlier, it’s interesting how none of the corrupt university people ever end up arrested and in prison for ENCOURAGING, ACCEPTING, and SUPPORTING this “pay for play” crap.
They didn't bribe the right people.
Probably that they bribed a school official to misuse his authority, instead of bribing the institution directly.
Had they taken the Rodney Dangerfield approach and just bought the school a new building, there wouldn't have been a problem.
At worse, let them do some community service.
