If the South had been allowed to secede peacefully, the 50 states would not be spiritually and financially bankrupt as they are today.
Lincoln’s war for Empire emboldened Wilson’s insane entry into World War 1, which begat Hitler and World War 2, which begat the Korea and Vietnam wars.
Now, we stand on the brink of another secession movement, as our masters in the Beltway spend and tax us into oblivion.
If the south had been allowed to secede peacefully than the fears of the founders and the framers of this great country would have been realized. We would have eventually had a plethora of bickering, warring, country’s on this continent.
“Should the States reject this excellent Constitution, the probability is, an opportunity will never again offer to cancel another in peace — the next will be drawn in blood.” - George Washington in the Pennsylvania Journal and Weekly Advertiser, November 14, 1787
That is a big fat, typical Democrat, lie.
So, were you born Democrat, or did you learn later how to be a lying sack of Adam Schiff from one of their masters?
BrexitBen: "...emboldened Wilson’s insane entry into World War 1..."
Insane or not, Wilson was a literal child of the Democrats' Confederacy, not a student of Republican Lincoln.
Then as now Democrats represented globalist mercantile interests which, by 1917, Wilson realized would be severely damaged from a Kaiser-German war victory.
Unrestricted U-boat attacks on American supply ships to Britain & France were really the least of it.
The biggest factor was the huge war-debt Brits, French & others piled up and would be defaulted on should they lose the First World War.
BrexitBen: "which begat Hitler and World War 2, "
Some otherwise sane people have long argued there'd be no Second World War if the US had just let Germans win the First World War.
It's a ludicrous argument because, had Germans won the First World War there would be no Allied powers left strong enough to oppose future German expansions.
So there would be no Second World War because, after victory in the First, Germans could then take whatever they wanted, whenever they wanted to.
Nobody could stop them.
BrexitBen: "which begat the Korea and Vietnam wars."
Korea and Vietnam were our "thanks" for helping save Stalin's rear end in WWII.
Had Germans won either World War, today's world political, economic & military map would be quite different.
But the issues would still boil down to whether we ever intended, somewhere, sometime, somehow, to oppose their further military expansion?
If/when that time ever came, it could make Korea & Vietnam look like child's play.
