Ping & Post earlier than normal - have a lot going on tomorrow, and I knew I'd better start the thread when I remembered to!
7th or 8th garden seed catalog received yesterday.
Very tempting...
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all. My mother is in a long term care facility in Virginia and my sister who lives nearby wasn’t allowed to take her home for a Christmas dinner. She wasn’t even allowed to visit her. The nurses brought her to an area where they could drive by and wave to her. What a way to treat an 86 year old woman. Sad.
On a gardening note I will be starting my 2021 new pepper seeds this week. It seems like the hotter they are the longer the seeds take to germinate and the slower they grow. I hope to have peppers by August.
Family came by for snacks and presents. Lady Bender’s famous dinner will be served here on the First. of Jan 2021. Family consist of Lady Bender & I, plus 62 year old son and his wife, daughter and husband and their son and wife and 4 year year old daughter. His sister and husband are visiting his family over in Redding Ca
HO HO HO!!! Merry Christmas!!!
The weather here in Central Missouri snapped off cold for Christmas this year.
It’s too cold out there for me to do much of anything other than throw some wood in the furnace and then go back inside.
I’m warming the shop up now. It should be nice and toasty in there when I’m ready to venture out to putz. I hope to have the new fuel tank for Pops’ tractor finished by the end of the weekend. Probably won’t happen, but that’s what I’m shooting for.
The kale and collards are laying on the ground looking sick, but they will stand back up and snap out of it as soon as the temps warm up a bit. It always amazes me to see that stuff flopped out one day, and then a few days later it looks perfectly healthy.
Hope you and your family had a very Merry Christmas and all the best wishes for a much better New Year in 2021.
