Look into the Fender Products.
I have the Passport Pro 500
There are smaller versions
If you have an audio club in your area, maybe you should invite them to record you.
When the Connecticut Audio Club had a live concert last year, the poor singer faced a forest of mics. We have at least 10 guys who love to record live music, and they’ve already got thousands of dollars worth of equipment.
Are you planning on just recording off the mix or are you going to mix it yourself?
Tascam 12,16 or 24
I use the Model 24 and it’s great
I’ve gotten good recordings of folks singing at church just by holding up my I-Phone and recording them.
For a simple but very acceptable live recording system buy this:
Of course, make sure the Apple connection is the same as the one used by your air pad. There are other models available that will fit whatever you need.
The simple app that comes with it gives you the ability to change the mike pattern, eq and gain. You can record a video or just audio.
The quality is very, very good and it’s easy as pie.
Further mastering with Logic Pro X is the next step.
If you can swing 499.00 get an Apollo Solo from Universal Audio. You’ll need a free USB to plug it in. There is a Mac thunderbolt version too. It not only has phantom power it’s on board Pre amps are very good but it also allows you to insert a virtual world class preamp such as the 610B which comes with the solo. There are also basic but world class audio processor that come with the unit. The cheapest pro microphone, thw Shure SM 58 sounds very good thru this monster. The Apollo Solo is itself a powerful processor that takes a lot of the mix down load off of your computer. It’s worth the 500 bucks beyond all doubt. The most bang for your buck. Sweetwater has the mic for 100.00, the Solo for 499.00
Audacity if free and is pretty mature.
It should do everything you need.
As an entrepreneur with a business that is directly connected to the music industry, my website is in the mastering credits of 5-6 classic albums including an iconic jazz artist on the Capitol label.
I’m assuming you want to use the pad as your recorder/mixer/processor? As long as it connects to the lightning port.... whatever the geeks recommend for your budget.

IK multimedia iRig will work great. Actually, you can set the audio in your notepad to “uncompressed” and get a decent recording with just your phone.
I thought Q said all the Audiophiles would be doing hard time in GITMO.
These days you can find it for next to nothing; it's a multi-track recording program sort of like a basic Pro Tools setup.
you can record everything into a single track, or individually into as many tracks as you like and then mix together for a master track.
There is a bit of a learning curve if you're not familiar with recording programs, but not terrible.
Pick up a 2 mic channel Behringer mixer, stereo output, for about $60. This plugs directly into your laptop.
One or two decent mics and you're all set. I would highly recommend a Shure SM-58. Great mic and not expensive.
Good luck-
I have this (an older version)
Works great.

Does .Wav and Mp3.
Lots of pros use these.
