Of all the things I’d be tempted to steal, a snake would be way down the list.

Salamander’s albino snake shoplifts there, too.

I wish people wouldn’t sell snakes. Ugh Then people turn them loose like they did in Florida.

A snake would be just about the last item on any list I’d ever have of “Things I Want to Steal”. Since there is no such list in my home or even my head, someone else can have the snake. Yuck.

It’s not just snakes. And Florida gets all the press because it’s warm enough for them to thrive.

I had followed the increasing issue of invasive species in Florida and the Everglades in particular, but not living there, it is not high on my list. Yesterday, at work while eating lunch, I came across these videos, and since I don't have cable and don't watch television, it was a new thing to me!

I can't watch them on YouTube at home because it now requires me to sign in or accept cookies, neither of which I will ever willingly do.

Heh, but watching these rednecks grabbing pythons was entertaining.

What was funny was when they went fishing for another invasive species, the Pacu, which is a relative of the Pirhana and has teeth that looks like this!

One of the guys said to the other two "They have been known to take off fingers and toes, and...have a reputation for going for balls!"

Heh, the other two, an overweight redneck and a wiry cajun redneck both recoiled, and when they caught one of the fish, it was hilarious to see how squeamish they both were, these guys who had no hesitation going after gators and snakes with their bare hands, but didn't even want to put their feet in the water when they were pulling in "the ball eater"!

A couple of guys,,,Joey Slay Em and Monster Mike are pretty amusing. There’s a place called Underground Reptiles that sells field-collected invasives from Florida.

Pinky is not albino, he’s Pastel.

:D

Saying it’s a “$300” PetCo snake means it’s a $75 anywhere else snake.

Their prices are insane.

The sell normal Ball Pythons for $60 when you can get them for $10 at a reptile expo.

The world of BP breeding is fascinating beyond belief.

For whatever reason, the good Lord gave them the genetics to create infinite wild and crazy colors and patterns.

All from a plain and nondescript snake.

I would venture to say that the genes involved in the *pastel* version of albino no doubt have some genetic quality that mixes with other genes in a particular way to produce even more complex morphs.

*Years* ago, there were “hundreds” or BP morphs.

I’ve lost count, now.

This is a site that tries to keep up with every new morph and the genetic wizard app is fun to play around with

GoreBull worming fanatics have the pythons up north in a decade or so. Was on some so-called science show.

Cool, I had no idea. Kind of like an orchid. An orchid that strangles rats and creeps people out.
