I grew up in Los Angeles (the far west side, about a mile from the beach), and I remember the Chateau Marmont, and the Beverly Hills Hotel just down the road to the west. The Marmont is at the curve as Sunset turns east and starts the Sunset Strip. We used to go there in the 1960s.
I miss William Holden.
I used to live three blocks from there.
California is too scenic and too rich in natural resources to give up to the Forces of Darkness without a fight.
Where entertainers go to die.
John Belushi died there, as well as Juice Newton’s father (Helmut). Then you had William Holden dying there with his drinking helmet. There were other oddities.
