The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).
Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated, you’ll be solving them all within a few days. If you’re stumped, take a break and return to it.
PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and how you made out.
You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram ASK THE GROUP FOR HELP!
I suggest printing these out and work them on paper. If you need a little help you can copy and paste it to Hal’s Helper below.
You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper, but I recommend that you do NOT look at the letter counter.
One last request. Feel free to post a fun or clever clue, the more tangential to the quotation the better, but please don’t put the actual words of the quote in the clue.
Clue for today’s puzzle. Simply scroll your cursor over the text while left clicking your mouse, and the letters should appear.

Arkansas Gazette Cryptogram
Easy one!
Very cute saying.
OLD PEOPLE MAINTAIN A CONSPIRACY OF SILENCE. THEY NEVER TELL THE YOUNG THAT THEY ARE HAVING THEIR BEST YEARS. —JAMES FEIBLEMAN
Nearly solved in line by line, 2+ minutes (fingers are stiff, I turned 63 last Wednesday)
Very easy but also easily one of the best quotations, and true, that I have read lately. I do this constantly.
Merry Christmas my Freeper brothers and sisters. I love you and the constant support, and love, you have shown me in the 20+ years I have been here, considering it from the first one of my prime sources of entertainment and information. Thank you one and all.
Easy to spot a misspelling too!
Really? Where?
Extra credit for finding the error! ;)
About 3 minutes..
I don’t see any misspelling, unless you are making a joke.
I wouldn't joke about a thing like that! Well, it's been a few hours, guess nobody's going to win the big bonus prize. The lady's last name is O'Connor, not O'Conner.
Darn, I more or less consciously ignored the name, but you are correct.
Good job!
Arkansas Gazette makes mistakes, but not often. they should have posted the whole name.
Flannery O’Connor
Interestingly, she was from Savannah GA
