An even bigger clue::The needle must be pulled back a bit to make sure the shot is NOT going IV.
NONE of the pics/videos I have seen show that.

Not a fan of Nancy, but needles used in the clinical setting now have a contraption attached to the end to prevent the clinicians from getting stuck with the needle themselves. It does look like a cap of some sort.
