Same story here! I knew of Bigfoot as early as 1969, at age 6 and had a great yeti and Bigfoot book collection. It wasn’t until about 1977 that most kids finally knew what the hell I was talking about per my nerdy Sasquatch stories. Next week marks my second year living in the Colorado mountains and if it weren’t for the Patterson film, I’d now be less of a believer, which is like losing a childhood buddy. Anyway, would be cool to see BOGGY CREEK again! Only saw it once, in the 70s. That was definitely creepy... except for that sappy song toward the end. Ha ha!

it is a certified mystery why nobody has nailed a good photo of Bigfoot, despite everybody carrying a decent (cellphone) camera and lots of alleged close-up encounters with the Big Guy

I like your theory about trailcams. Per phone cammys, I've learned one thing after living here in a national forest for two years... It's often very difficult to get the phone out and camera app up in time to grab a shot of unexpected wildlife encounters. I've seen many bear, Bobcat, turkeys, and beautiful woodpeckers, but only two photos so far. I dunno. It seems the more ubiquitous the phones are, the less blobsquatch photos there are - at all! Weird.

That being said, it is a certified mystery why nobody has nailed a good photo of Bigfoot...

They would be immediately dismissed as fake. Most people I've heard of who managed to take fairly clear photos don't want to deal with the huge amount of negative media attention.

At best you end up with images like these, which can't be definitively established as real one way or the other. Scientists fall back on their old "Bigfoot does not exist because Bigfoot cannot exist" excuse and the photographer's story convinces no one.

Nick, if you’re ever here in Colorado, there’s a cool little Bigfoot Museum in the mountain town of Bailey, off I-70. Email me here and I’ll meet you, as it’s near my ‘hood. Definitely worth it!

This is the one that got it all started for me. Saw it at a drive-in after endlessly badgering my poor dad to take me. He warned me that I’d have bad dreams. Did I listen? NOOOOOOOOooooo. Scared the hell outta me! Saw it again for the first time since... wurst quality movie ever. Ha!
