If you don’t live in Manhattan, well, first of all, congratulations, but also you probably haven’t heard about the meltdown currently underway at the Dalton School, one of Manhattan’s more elite private schools. While many other private schools in New York City have reopened, Dalton has remained closed, much to the annoyance of tuition-paying parents.

The Dalton faculty, it seems, consists of community college rejects who flunked a Dr. Jill course, judging from their list of demands for agreeing to resume normal teaching:

It seems that the teachers at this school feel that black children are incapable of learning unless they are given a special dumbed down, molly coddle curriculum. I wonder why these teachers think black kids are not as good as White and Asian kids? These teachers are treating the black kids as though the black kids were mentally handicapped.

I think their tuition is $50K.
For an underschool.
For virtual “learning.”

So I guess if they lose 50% of their students over this, they’ll just double the tuition, right?

This is insanity. What it probably means is that there is a core group of viciously ideological racial hysterics — probably a small group — and that no one among the spineless progressives who dominate the administration and faculty is willing to stand up to them. They will continue to capitulate until the parents revolt.
