Given all of the well-known benefits to eating eggs—which range from boosting your immune system to helping you lose weight to improving your cognitive health—you may have wondered if it's possible to eat too many of them. After all, with 6 grams of protein, 5 grams of healthy fat, and lots of vitamins, the humble egg is among the most nutritious foods on the planet. But according to a study conducted by researchers from the University of South Australia, Qatar University, and the China Medical University, the answer is most certainly yes—and the results will surprise you. Read on for more on what the scientists discovered, and for more pressing news about your breakfast, make sure you know why Science Says It's Dangerous to Drink Your Coffee This Way.
The study, published in The British Journal of Nutrition, focused on nearly 30 years of data (1991 to 2019) for roughly 9,000 adults in China, where diabetes cases are on the rise. "Over the past few decades China has undergone a substantial nutritional transition that's seen many people move away from a traditional diet comprising grains and vegetables, to a more processed diet that includes greater amounts of meat, snacks and energy-dense food," explained Ming Li, MD, Ph.D, an epidemiologist at the University of South Australia. "Diet is a known and modifiable factor that contributes to the onset Type 2 diabetes, so understanding the range of dietary factors that might impact the growing prevalence of the disease is important."

If such dystopia ever came upon us, that we had nothing else to eat, we could survive very well on eggs, honey, and the occasional Democrat.
Anyone else wondering if this is the ChiComs trying to nail our poultry farmers and indusry?

Eggs, apples, oranges, broccoli and Maker’s Mark are Jesus foods.
...maybe not the whiskey...
...everyone knows this! lol
This morning, as I do two days each week, 5 eggs over easy with meat for breakfast. The other days, protein shake with milk and 2-3 raw eggs.
58y/o, 6’tall, 174lbs 11% body fat, MEAT BODY, no cholesterol issues AT ALL, lift weights 3-5 times per week. Take zero meds. Go to the doctor now and again and they’re astounded that I have no Rx meds...very uncommon apparently for my age. Not bragging (THANKFUL) but by God’s grace in better shape that 99% of men my age. Ms SW in similar shape at 56.
I call bunk on the “be very afraid of eggs” garbage.
Pure protein!
Jesus food!
Thank you Jesus =o)
P.S. I can’t lift 188% of my body weight, but can and do lift more than my body weight through five reps every chest day, 48’pushups in a minute and easy pull ups, through three sets of 13-17 reps.
Best thing for everyone is weight lifting. Muscles burn fat. PERIOD. And...AND...for a man...lifting moulds and maintains testosterone. So there’s THAT as a benefit =o)
Get in shape, lift weights (ease into it at first), eat protein and complex carbs (look it up) and don’t be scared of eggs. In time even a diabetic week be off meds =o)
Also shoot ~ 286-292 on PPC.=O)
I’m sick of these “studies”. And I don’t believe an f’n word that goes thru any Yahoo punks

Yep, every time I see one of these X is bad for you items I wonder who is trying to torpedo sales of that particular thing.
There is one possibility, that eggs may have an uncommon allergen, that *in some people* can cause diabetes. While there are many people who are allergic to eggs, as such, their allergens are peculiar in that they can have a time delayed effect, only causing a problem hours, or even days after they are eaten. And sensitivity to that allergen may be cumulative, so the more you eat, the worse that effect.
Sweet Lord this is a bunch of nonsense. First they say Chinese people are getting more diabetes because they are eating more processed foods. Then they say “Hey! Maybe it’s eggs”! Eat Mor Graynes :/
In the wrong hands, DHMO poisoning could easily become the next national pandemic. It’s affects and it’s effects seem to sprawl in every imaginable direction. DHMO goes from ‘being connected’ to gun violence to possibly ‘improving your marriage’.
I have been eating 4 eff omelets every morning for years and am in perfect health.
For lunch I just ate two more wrapped in maple sausage and baked in the oven. Roll them in cornflakes and flout before baking.
