About $50,000 in merchandise was stolen.Anybody else see a "disconnect" here? How can anyone, after the fact, refer to this as a "shoplifting?" Assault and battery are more-commonly associated with robberies. Further, I should think that stealing $50,000 worth of merchandise would qualify it as "grand theft."
