Anybody else see a "disconnect" here? How can anyone, after the fact, refer to this as a "shoplifting?" Assault and battery are more-commonly associated with robberies. Further, I should think that stealing $50,000 worth of merchandise would qualify it as "grand theft."

I think if they got in and made off with $50k in merchandise, they weren’t just some meth heads, they had to have skill. And an probably an inside job element.

It’s California. Shoplifting anything under $950 is a misdemeanor.
