Have you ever been checked for antibodies?

If you might have had Covid-19 earlier on, can you still get the vaccine without an issue? Or if one clearly had it, vaccine still ok?

Yes I have been checked for antibodies — they have been negative. Recalling that antibodies only exist in a narrow window of six weeks. Per our occupational health, having had the illness is not a contraindication to vaccination. If one considers being vaccinated after wild type illness, it simply becomes a booster.

I’ve had the antibody test, which came out negative. But my doc seemed to suggest that it’s not really a good indicator as to whether you’ve actually been infected at some point (?)

(Though I suspect it may be more accurate than the PCR is. Gas-Dr?)
