who could have possibly recorded this? Breyer as ammunition?Or they were bugged (or NSA). That’s the only two possibilities unless it was a rogue clerk on the phone call.
Another possibility is that one of the Justices leaked this. "We can't hear this case because people will riot", is not a legal argument that another justice might feel obligated to keep secret. It means that the highest court in the land is too intimidated to hear what Texas claimed was original jurisdiction, and as such, compulsory constitutionally for SCOTUS.

True.
I just don’t know what to make of L Lin Wood.
He acts like he has gone off his rocker. It happens. See Tom Girardi
What I don’t understand is why he hasn’t given us the recording of Roberts to hear.
I don’t like Roberts but I need more than L Lin Wood saying he has a tape.
That said, I do believe Roberts is capable of having said and done exactly what Wood claims.

btw, after seeing a tweet on John Cardillo’s timeline about the flight log I looked at whether SCOTUS was hearing oral arguments on the day in question.
They were
So Chief Justice was not on the plane.
