OK, I could be totally wrong, but here goes anyway. :-)
1. At first, reading, it looks like they’re refusing to meet the 12/18/20 deadline. But after thinking about it and re-reading the excerpt, it now looks more to me like they’re still in the process of compiling info. There must be a sh*tload of it.
2. Although the original deadline was 12/18/20, certification of the electors isn’t until Jan. 6. There’s still time.
3. A bunch of people have speculated that Pres. Trump already has the report (or at least a draft of it). Perhaps, if he deems it necessary, he can release it himself.
On the other thread regarding this issue, I was freaking out along with everyone else. Understandable. But now I’m thinking it MIGHT not be quite the way we all perceived it to be at first.

I wish I had your optimism. But when I see things like this, I see stonewalling. I see this will be just like the Durham report. The DNI report will be out soon. Any day now. February or March of next year.
