Are Democrats pulling an Operation Fast and Furious scam?
American Thinker ^ | 16 Dec, 2020 | Andrea Widburg

Democrat politicos are using the Wuhan virus and other policies to put criminals charged with gun crimes back on the streets.

During Obama’s first term, his Attorney General, Eric Holder, implemented Operation Fast and Furious. The ostensible purpose was for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) to catch straw purchasers who bought guns in America and sold them in Mexico. ATF blew it and taxpayer-funded guns vanished into Mexico. A secondary goal, though, was to try to convince Americans that guns are bad, to drive gun control laws. When I read about Democrats flooding cities with gun crime suspects, I wonder if they’re trying the same psychological trick again.

What caught my eye first was a New York Post report on the fact that almost 90% of gun crime suspects are back on New York’s streets:

Nearly 90 percent of suspects arrested on gun charges this year are back on the streets, which the NYPD says has fueled a historic spike in shootings that have left more than 1,756 dead or wounded.

About 3,345 of the 3,793 perps arrested between Jan. 1 and Nov. 30 for firearms crimes — 88 percent — were let go, according to department data. Just 450 remain in jail, the NYPD told The Post.

Some New York City Council members also want to order police to avoid any contact with homeless people, many of whom are deranged and violent.

In Los Angeles, the new Soros-funded District Attorney, George Gascón (who spent almost ten years growing up under Fidel Castro) is unilaterally doing away with serious punishments for violent gun crimes, virtually assuring that the criminals will be back on the street.

Andrea needs to brush up on Fast and Furious. The intent was never to catch straw purchasers. The intent was to have US guns show up in Mexican cartel murders after a study failed to find significant US firearms involved in Mexican crime. The whole purpose of F&F was to force gun stores near the border to sell guns to straw purchasers. Then 0bama and Hillary would have an excuse to ban US firearms as part of an international treaty with Mexico. Releasing felons with gun convictions is probably to create public support for Australia type gun restrictions.

Correct. Bush’s program used GPS to track the guns. Obama’s did not. The purpose of Obama’s program was to push gun control. Obama, Holder and Clinton, all went to the Southwest and gave pro gun control speeches.

For sure. If you see a Democrat breathing be assured they’re up to some form of lying, cheating, stealing. Malfeasance of some type is afoot.

The same people who want to take away our guns are the ones who refuse to prosecute gun offenders. If the guy who shoots at cops or the public is out on bail in 24 hours and then gets no jail time it doesn’t make sense.

It does when you realize the intent is to increase violent crimes, particularly gun crimes, so the populace will be more accepting of gun control laws.

Same thing with health-care and health-insurance. Screw up the system so badly, and increase premiums so much, that the public will be more accepting of a socialized medicine scheme.
