HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A former Houston Police Department Captain was arrested and charged for running a man off the road and pointing a gun at his head in an attempt to prove claims of a massive voter fraud scheme in Harris County, according to a news release from the Harris County's DA's office.

Mark Anthony Aguirre, 63, was arrested by Houston police Tuesday and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison.

"He crossed the line from dirty politics to commission of a violent crime, and we are lucky no one was killed," Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg said. "His alleged investigation was backward from the start - first alleging a crime had occurred and then trying to prove it happened."

According to court documents, Aguirre told police that he was part of a group of private citizens called the "Liberty Center," who were conducting a civilian investigation into the alleged ballot scheme.

According to Aguirre, he had been conducting surveillance for four days on a man who was allegedly the mastermind of a giant voter fraud scheme. Aguirre told authorities the man was hiding 750,000 fraudulent ballots in a truck he was driving.

Instead, the victim turned out to be an innocent air conditioner repairman, court documents said.

Aguirre ran his SUV into the back of the truck to get the technician to stop and get out, according to court documents.

When the technician got out of the truck, Aguirre pointed a handgun at the technician, forced him to the ground and put his knee on the man's back until police came, the court document said.

Aguirre allegedly directed police to a parking lot nearby where another suspect, who has not been identified, took the truck.

Aguirre allegedly never told police that he had been paid a total of $266,400 by the Houston-based Liberty Center for God and Country, with $211,400 of that amount being deposited into his account the day after the incident.

This story makes zero sense.

Not bad for four days of work.

However, his lawyers are gonna eat up a bunch of that payday.

>>”He crossed the line from dirty politics to commission of a violent crime, and we are lucky no one was killed,” Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg said.

Kim Ogg is personally responsible for over 70 murders this year with all of the convicts she has released who’ve gone on to kill again this year. She even gave a felon back his illegal gun and he promptly killed a police officer.

Soros’ dyke DA is not ever crying about gun violence. Please.

Doesn’t seem like it would be hard to just break into the truck at night and look. You could even pay some street kid to do it and take photos.

What good would that do without a search warrant?

"His alleged investigation was backward from the start - first alleging a crime had occurred and then trying to prove it happened."

What? You mean they normally prove a crime happened and then you allege that it happened?

She even gave a felon back his illegal gun and he promptly killed a police officer.

That is incorrect.

One police officer was killed and one was wounded.

The background check came back clear in the incident referenced. Officer Waller, the officer who was wounded, was the officer who was at the previous incident.

In Waller's report from the previous incident, Officer Waller wrote: No crime occurred.

The reports that the prosecutor's office ordered a gun returned are false. No gun was ever taken. No police officer knew Manzano, who is the suspected gunman, was a illegal alien and a felon, until after the fatal shooting.

The story that Ogg "gave the gun back" was election day rhetoric, it appears, by the Police Union. They do not like Ogg.

Ogg has gone after police corruption in Harris county, hard.

Here is a link and excerpt:

The division chief reviewed the case involving the Oct. 18 incident and told the officers,

"If you believe her, that's terroristic threat," Schiller said. The division chief, Jim Leitner, reported the officer said he did not believe an offense had been committed or that a charge was necessary, according to the DA's office. "It's pretty tough to go against an officer who said no crime occurred," Schiller said.

I wouldn’t go to the Houston Comical for news about Houston. They covered for Ken Lay when he delivered the majority voter support for the stadiums referendum. Minutemaid Park was originally called Enron Field.

Kim Ogg has blood on her hands.
