Political correctness was more important than medical correctness for the American medical system. They chose death.
A lot of folks have focused on the EUA and that the disease cannot have an approved treatment or the vaccine would take years. Big Pharma couldn’t exploit it, plus a treatment would obviously cut into vaccine sales. So the NIH and the FDA with huge ties to Big Pharma seemed hellbent on smashing anything that seemed like a cure. Also since Trump touted it, they had to destroy it to make Trump look stupid. Then the Lancet dirtied itself by printing a false study to bury HCL but had to retract it. There was far too much hatred for one of the greatest drugs in medicine today, and it was totally contrived. It was gaslighting at its best.
Also there is politics and in the source doc, the AMA decries politics over science but admits it was part of the process. AMA is a political animal, and since doctors all over the world are using HCL and it is very safe, the AMA is being forced to rescind a stupid political decision that interferes with the patient doctor relationship. They admit they should not be doing this and they made a mistake.
Yet Ivermectin is a better drug, cheap and safe, and listen to Dr Pierre Kory who testified in the US Senate. He calls it miraculous for its treatment of Covid and the NIH won’t let it be used. Hopefully that changes now.
