"Boys Over Flowers" is a wonderful Korean drama about the effects on the lives of four rich heirs when a poor girl gets a scholarship to their high school. This shows the conflict between the first and second male leads over the girl. One of my VERY favorite Peter, Paul and Mary songs.
Also throwing in a Christmas song, Dr Who – Angels in the Snow – Annie Lennox

PING to one of my favorite PP&M songs for a great fandom
Don’t Think Twice. My folks have numerous versions of this song. They’re all great!
One of the few albums I had in college that we played in the downstairs rec room. This song hit hard for adolescent heartbreak. “You just kinda wasted my precious time” Says it all.
Don’t think twice it’s alright was written by Bob Dylan.
Hitting myself on the head for not mentioning that. Those early Dylan albums were memorized. I tend to avoid using the songs sung by him because they’re not allowed on YouTube and that means carrying the whole play off my website. Thank you for that important correction.
Song by Bob Dylan. I have the Joan Baez version in my iTunes library. I despise her politics, but I love her rendition of the song.
Which one of those two guys was the one caught in a motel with an underage girl....?
Ran across this while browsing subtitled Oriental series on Youtube:

This was apparently a Hong Kong production about the founding emperor of the Han regime, with the emperor character (basically a jumped-up peasant made good) played for laughs. If English language Wikipedia is remotely accurate, however, the story does hew fairly closely to historical accounts. The resolution isn’t great, but the writing, IMO, is fairly fast-paced, at least in the episode or so I’ve watched. Subtitles are adequate in the sense of being comprehensible.
He wasn’t IN the motel with the girl. He was naked in his room and opened the door to two sisters, one 14 and one 17, who wanted his autograph. He’s been destroyed for that mistake a thousand times.
Interesting. Started it. Very reflective with good music. Thanks for the pointer.
It’s a great song, and I loved Dylan.
After a while, though, it seemed to me all his love songs were self-centered about what he wanted, dumping chicks, cynical, etc.
There was a self-centeredness about them, rather than a kindness or lovingness.
아름다움
I always answer the door naked (sarc)
I loved that his songs were autobiographical and idealistic. We had different ideologies. I was a fervent conservative Republican while he was singing against the war, but I was completely comfortable with his having different points of view from mine. He wasn’t the only autobiographical songwriter. I loved Baez singing about her relationship with Dylan. And dumping and getting dumped was what adolescence and college years were all about. Practicing how you formed a long-term relationship with another human being. I loved using him as an emotional band-aide through all of that.
I assume your post person wears dark sunglasses. But that’s one more load of laundry you don’t have to do while saving the environment. Everyone does their part in their own style. (not sarc, just laughing)
Frustrating. I make heavy use of google’s language translation and even spend time on Chinese sites searching out better images thanks to google. But the Korean characters wouldn’t translate at all in google.
There’s a lot of Second Lead Syndrome in Asian dramas, as well as childhood trauma, high fevers and white vehicles running into people.
아름다움 translated as beauty when I tried it on Google.
The high fever issue really makes me wonder what the general population health is like. Also, a fever often makes them go to the hospital, so I’m unclear what is socially acceptable hospital symptoms for each society. I’m driven crazy by the way they use the towel to wipe the forehead. They pat OVER the bangs, and put their hand OVER the bangs to check for temperature. Reality would be shoving the bangs aside before those actions.
I hadn’t noticed that the vehicles were white that kept hitting people. Did notice all the accidents.
Cooking! Food, glorious food! Everywhere. Husband has taken up ramen. It’s like when I became addicted to Skippys during the You Asked For It TV show. Best show for food - Sleuth of the Ming Dynasty.
