Why would any PHD want to be called Dr outside the classroom other than to enhance his stature among equals.I would find it downright embarrassing, but that may be just me. Sorry, Joe, referring to your wife as Dr Biden rather than Jill or my wife, which is how she is identified by the public, on the campaign trail is a bit crass and striving.
The proper term is Nurse Biden.
