Just looking for some of those "Diamonds in the Rough" from the expansive You-Tube lists. I will start the ball rolling. My recommendation is the 1957 film "The One that Got Away" by Roy Ward Baker. The true story of German POW Pilot attempting to escape captivity from North America during World War II. In advance, I thank everyone for there suggestions!
Die Hard, and the sequels, are other movies I have not seen.
I’ll add these to the list of what to watch.
In Our Hands (1950)
A four-part documentary on free-market capitalism and how it works and the threat to prosperity posed by socialism:
My Latvia (1955)
The story of the Soviet takeover of Latvia
Operation Abolition: The Story of Communism in Action (1960)
A House Committee on Un-American Activities hearing in San Francisco is disrupted by student protesters in one of the first protests of the sort that would sweep the country over the coming years. This film was widely shown and discussed by civic groups during the early sixties.
Die Hard is great. Don’t bother with the sequels.
The sequels aren’t remotely plausible, not worth watching. One has airliners falling out of the sky because terrorists mess with ATC. As if aircraft became unflyable and there are no loss of communication procedures.
Really great getting these suggestions. Staying home more than I like these days, and movie entertainment is a great diversion.
Die Hard is set on Christmas Eve, but that is its only connection to Christmas.
America, America God Shed His Grace on Thee: Movie by Nick Searcy

The Lives Of Others (everybody should make sure their teen watch this).
The first season of british detective series Vexed. (only 3 episodes but hilarious non-pc.)
Master and Commander
the Highwaymen . Well done true(er) movie about of Frank Hamer and Texas Rangers vs Bonnie and Clyde. (not a documentary)
There are ton of free old movies and tv shows here. https://www.solie.org/alibrary/
For the next two days, you can catch The Spanish Princess season 1 free of charge on Prime Video. It’s the third in the Philippe Gregory series that includes The White Queen and The White Princess. They seem to have taken major liberties with the facts in certain cases, yet it was entertaining and very good. I binge watched it in a day and a half. I think they modeled Margaret Beaufort after Nancy Pelosi.
I just watched The Lie on Prime Video last night. I highly recommend that one.
Here’s a 12 minute short one: “The Disappearance of Willie Bingham”
