All that matters is they can say you purchased such and such a weapon and where is it?
Anything you say or don’t say can and will be used against you.

Sorry, but they can't use legal firearms purchases, sales or transfers "against you", at least in a court of law. And as a private citizen you're NOT required to keep the kind of detailed disposition records that commercial FFls are required to maintain. If you're suggesting that federal LEOs can abuse their authority, either within or outside the federal judicial system, then - hey, guess what? - that can happen NOW, without a gun ownership database...

I remember Waco (and Naples, Idaho) better than most. That doesn't mean I need to keep contact information for the neighbor who bought my Loewe/Berlin-marked 7.65 Mauser when I was in college (in 1978, I think - or was it 1979?), or that I need to have a business card from the gun show FFL who bought my 'brand X' 1911 last month...
