Timothee was given a starring role in a Woody Allen movie; A Rainy Day In New York. It was completed in 2018, released in 2019. At that time many actors were following Ronan Farrow’s demand that they refuse to work with Woody, due to a long lasting family feud. Timothee publicly denounced Woody, some say in an attempt to win an Oscar for his other movie “Call Me By Your Name”. Ultimately, he did not win an Oscar that year anyway.
