First time in a passel of time that I’ve seen hilarious and SNL in the same sentence - it still doesn’t apply.

Dang you! I had never heard of either of these louts. Your comment made me look up Davidson. Seems to be very, very ugly inside and out.

SNL has long just been a part of the left’s Alinsky tactics for their enemies.

I actually did find that mildly amusing. I’m glad they are at least aware that thousands of average citizens have submitted affidavits about the fraud. Of course, they are clearly sneering at those average citizens, but we’ll wait and see who has the last laugh.

Is it just me or has SNL never really been all that funny? Some of their skits are pretty funny. But far too many are just awkward and painful. I did laugh pretty hard when Adam Driver was the Science teacher trying to deal with two really dumb kids (the one with the balloon.) But I was a teacher, so it was pretty funny to me. They can be funny when they aren't trying to be political. I like the skits that are based on bad airplane experiences, stupid game shows, and The Couple That Should Be Divorced. Most of them are a bit raunchy, but... yeah, sometimes they are funny. But when they start in on politics, they just come across as snarky and hateful.

It is amazing how they can’t find anything to mock on the left?Only twice, and they were both right after the 2016 election. One was a bunch of liberals watching the election returns come in, going from smug to horrified (with the white ones taking it really hard, and the black ones being like "yep, thought so.") The other was I think only a week or two later, and it was called The Bubble - where liberals can go and live in a bubble with only other liberals... that showed a little self-awareness. Those are the only two I've seen.

I watched SNL in the early 70s only because it was cool. By the time I was in my early 20s I didn't care about cool anymore and realized the show wasn't funny and never had been.

I couldn't care less about "cool"...and never have. Trust me when I tell you that I'm the most "uncool" guy who's ever drawn breath.
The Belushi years were very unconventional...wild..."really out there". They were also great...and still are.
I never saw them as "cool" and wasn't aware that anyone else did.

Beloosh was funny, but I don’t remember him on when I watched it, which was only the 72 and 73 seasons.

SNL started in ‘75.Belushi and Akroyd,my two favorites (by far) were there from the beginning until ‘79...four seasons.

SNL? Once upon a time it was “a thing”.
To: Gay State Conservative
I did not even have a TV in those years. Might be worth it to get some DVDs or downloads from those years. ChinaTube has banned me for making adverse comments about their CCP overlords, so that can't be a source for Akroyd or Belushi clips. The Blues Brothers was a great flick.

“yeah, sometimes they are funny”
That’s what I mean! Shouldn’t the absolute hippest and funniest show the world has ever seen be funnier more often?
