Texas GOP chair calls for a 'union of states,' and the left has a cow

Texas GOP chair Allen West is calling for a civil society association of states to right some glaring wrongs on this past election. Last thing in the world he's calling for is what the left is screeching is "secession."

After the Supreme Court refused to even hear the great Texas-plus-18-states request for legal relief on participating in a clearly fraud-tainted national election, a pall descended on a lot of the U.S.

The chairman of the Texas GOP suggested this as a post–legal shutout remedy:

The Supreme Court, in tossing the Texas lawsuit that was joined by seventeen states and 106 US congressman, has decreed that a state can take unconstitutional actions and violate its own election law. Resulting in damaging effects on other states that abide by the law, while the guilty state suffers no consequences. This decision establishes a precedent that says states can violate the US constitution and not be held accountable. This decision will have far-reaching ramifications for the future of our constitutional republic. Perhaps law-abiding states should bond together and form a Union of states that will abide by the constitution.

Why not?

The democrats hated Lincoln.
The democrats organized in a union.
The democrats fired the first shots, and were soundly whipped, in time.
The democrats shot Lincoln.

This time the democrats are dressed in black with shields, clubs, knives, and fireworks.

The red states have guns, and quite a few, and the intelligence to use them well.

Exactly. One big caveat to the Texas vs White ruling. The decision was split, 5-3, which is pretty interesting given that all the justices were Lincoln appointees/supporters in some way. Think about it, five were Lincoln appointees because justices from southern/Confederate states resigned. Of the three justices not appointed by Lincoln, Grier was a democrat but from Pennsylvania, Nelson was from NY, and Clifford was from Maine. You would have expected that the decision would have been 8-0 or 7-1, allowing for the one democrat. That it was not is sort of mind-boggling. With only eight sitting justices, the decision was pretty close to a split decision. But that aside, THE single-most important decision regarding the “right to secede” was entirely made by NORTHERN justices. It wasn’t a ruling, it was a regional dictate.

“The infection I’m concerned is COMMUNISM...keep that locked up in the cities and blue counties.”

I don’t think it’s the individual states that are the problem, but the cities within those states. Even within red states. Cut them off, isolate them, let them burn down. For the most part, they do nothing for the rest of the state other than make a mess of things.

Anyway, that’s my two cents.

Indeed the annexation treaty allows Texans to remain free from plantation owners.
Don’t mess with Texas

Actually if that is China’s mo it is a wrong strategy to use. Most Americans aren’t hooked on drugs so a strategy that ends up killing our weakest decadent drug users actually strengthens the country and frees up resources.

China would have to try and hook more “normals” onto drugs and keep them hooked but alive to keep us bleeding.

I agree with you. I believe what Allen West is doing is a start down that road. At least start the drumbeat from multiple states that we won’t live under arbitrary federal rule. Feds must follow the constitution, or they’re the ones that ended the USA.

I disagree it’s a great strategy, it kills a lot of people, we devote billions to fight it and Mexico is destabilized right on our southern border

It’s a death by a thousand cuts they hook a bunch of people on drugs, the infect people with viruses destroy our economy and force us to spend trillions to fight it

I guess I missed your point...I was thinking of a sort of “dumping strategy” where a bunch of drugs gets dumped all at once in such a way that a lot of OD’s and death occurs all at once but at a level that many die of quickly because we can’t get to them fast enough to save them. Or a situation that the nation is in such a state of emergency and disarray that resources can’t be diverted from keeping the nation going and keeping “them” alive and drug free too. Then the money economy collapses and even the cartels can’t use the money they have because everything goes digital and trackable. A lot of druggies will go hurting because even stealing will bring them no digital coinage.

Your scenario has already been ongoing I believe since 2013 when the “opiate crisis” became a “thing”...but what appeared to replace the scripts the doctors would no longer write....almost pure heroin and fentanyl in huge batches and many started OD’ing after that. I think it is a long term Obama corruption plan. Restrict legitimate scripts for pain thru the front door but make more illegal heroin and Fentanyl available thru the back door while tacitly not interdicting the drug deals and cartels. Oh do a few big busts for cocaine to show something being done but flood the streets with heroin and in nearly pure condition cut with fentanyl via the chinese and the cartels.

Copy liberals’ Sanctuaries model. Second Amendment Sanctuaries (already exist), pro-life Sanctuaries (a few exist). Have Sanctuaries for the First Amendment. Decide as a city, county or state to reject immoral federal regulations on a given topic, and like Sanctuary cities and states for illegals, make it A CRIME to assist fascists in power enforcing those oppressive rules.

You’re right...Look at Tennessee, for example...get rid of Memphis and Nashville, and it would be hard to find a redder state.

Look at what China has done to this country...

They have bought off Wall Street and our political elite with money, they realized Wall Street and Politicians will sell the mother for the right price much less the country.

They took advantage of our stupid politicians and got free trade deals with us and gave nothing in return, the result is destruction of the middle class in the country and removed a lot of our manufacturing capacity...

They help flood drugs thru our southern border, kill a bunch of people and we spend billions fighting it..

They infected us with a virus killing even more people, devastated our economy costing us trillions to fight...

Most of what they have done to us they are doing to other nations as well.....

If they are not at war with us I would hate to see a real war....

The South haters gotta hate. They suffer the same inability to judge those times by their norms as the liberals do. People in the north who do it believe it makes them superior, they have so little else to lean on. Bottom line is, the southern states were denied the freedom to be free...the same way the colonies wanted be free. Intellectual honesty demands that a person see either both as wrong or both as right, but not one one way and one the other.
