I’ve been confronted by a few women in the stores, but last night I had my first confrontation with a man because I wasn’t wearing a mask. He proclaimed loudly that I shouldn’t be allowed through the doors without a mask. I proclaimed just as loudly that he should get his testosterone checked because he was squealing like a frightened little girl.
Canada is airing ads on the TV that say “we all need to do our part to protect not just ourselves, but our fellow citizens by wearing a mask”. These ads are emboldening people and whipping them into the kind of frenzy that makes them think they’ve been deputized to confront fellow citizens. I don’t see this ending well for me but I’m not caving in.
Stand strong and have fun with them. They can’t hold us down and put a mask on us. If we do get arrested for not conforming we should wear it as a badge of honor.

Here in the US, we might get them to explain the “why” of their insistence on [me] wearing a mask.
The moment Karen says, “Because you might be sick and spreading the disease.”, take the names of people nearby as witnesses in your defamation tort.
Here in Alberta they’re now fining people for not wearing a face diaper. And they have a hotline for ratting out your neighbours.
Still haven’t complied yet, though.
So many sheep, so few free people.
