This holiday season you may want to diversify your normal beer consumption and try out a seasonal holiday brew.
But there can be so many beers to choose from, you may not know where to start. To make your decision easier, I decided to put five widely available holiday beers to the test.
I sampled Samuel Adams' Winter Lager, the Shiner Holiday Cheer Bavarian-style dark wheat from Spoetzl Brewery, Sierra Nevada's Celebration Fresh Hop IPA, Harpoon's Winter Warmer Holiday Ale, and New Belgium Brewing's Accumulation White IPA.
Here are the five holiday beers I tried, ranked from my least favorite to my favorite.

“My Cousin From Boston” says “Sam Adams Holiday White Ale” is EXCELLENT! Having one right now. ps: I am a “Cousin From Boston!
Sam Adams makes some fine beers, the Pumpkin was not one of them.

Samuel Smith's Winter Welcome Ale is great.
If you like beer it’s a great time to be alive!! :)
I love IPA’s - there’s so many different ones it’s almost wrong to give them all the same title of “IPA”, the taste characteristics are broad.
If you’ve ever tried “an IPA” and didn’t like it don’t be fooled into thinking that is how they all taste. Some are really hoppy, others not, same are fruity, others not.

The label is crazy busy but the beer looks good.

It’s all good. I like muh IPAs. Younger son (BIGG KIDD) made beer run from Michigan to Vermont several years ago thru Canadia, eh.
Best IPA I’ve had...Heady Topper...Alchemist Brewing. Been to so many micro brews...Stone (Enjoy By) SD, Zombie Dust Indiana, Bell’s, Cigar City...can’t remember them all. Losing my tastebuds as I get older. After craft beer, we started calling Bud...Budwater. What’s my last one from last night...forgot. Out of beer. Contributing to forgetfulness? Dunno. Like seasonal...just haven’t acquired a taste for them all.
Did you know that CHYtown has Revolution Brewing...Coup D ‘Etat beer? Beers complete with RED STAR on label. Can’t make this stuff up.
Happy Holidays...er Christmas.

Haven’t tried the Pumpkin stuff. Would have a pumpkin pie.
3 Floyds Zombie Dust, Indiana. Terrific ambiance. From I 94 in Michigan towards Chicago get off on Calumet. Go just past RR tracks to Superior. Make right. Down at the end on your left. It’s been may years. Great ambiance in the place. Great 6.5 %. Bought 3 cases last time.
Great site. Rated by beer lovers.
OOPS south on Calumet.
accumulation had the citrusy taste
Had a beer locally that had a grapefruity taste.
No.
Go 2 IPA for longest time 2-Hearted...Bell’s. KZOO Michigan. Didn’t see Elvis there though. If I drank MOAR beer? Perhaps.
KBS & CBS great sippers in winter weather. Darks.
No kidding, an abomination.
A Leinies Snowdrift Vanilla Porter is going down nicely on this snowy day.
Sipa Sunshine.
/thread beer run
One MOAR thang. Support local brewers. CAPITALISM. choices.
Another OOPS...Jai Alai (Cigar City)...empty can upstairs...(went up to get phone & moolah)
I had a Paintpot Porter at the Old Faithfull Inn that was amazing, I wish I had had 2 cuz thats the only place it was sold
I to gravitate to dark beers in winter.
