Just arrived at our DC bureau. Sources telling me that SCOTUS is expected to announce today that they will not hear the Texas case.

I have never so fervently wanted to be proven wrong in my life, but we’ll see."

Question is....would the military march in lock step? Do we know?L

Not much chance. The overwhelming majority of military are southerners. Texas has the 2nd largest number of military installations 2nd only to California. Although some will "follow orders" I doubt many will want to fire upon their southern brothers and sisters. And, the overwhelming majority of military are conservatives.

3000+ Trump counties
- in 2024, 10,000 extra "votes" per county = 30 million R votes

That is, since the rules and the quality of votes don't matter.

Would have been nice if Coffee County had included or taken a video of any vote flipping. They included a spreadsheet, which as far as I know hasn’t been posted. Everyone has a 1080p video camera on their cell phone that would be capable of showing ballots getting miscounted.

If she is right she looks like a real player in the news industry.

If she is wrong, she blames the informant.

I thought the court voted 6-3 to hear the case? I understood there will be no oral arguments or if there are it will be limited. So, if they are declining the case, why vote to hear it. On Parler yesterday a legal group said the court will review the briefs and decline the case. They will not try to choose which voters get disenfranchised. The other possibility is they make a ruling that will impact future elections, stopping the use of mail in ballots.

They had one (sadly) very valid point. While this group is not denying fraud took place and mail in ballots were the vehicle. Except for PA, no GOP legislative branch in WI, MI, GA or AZ tried to stop the ballots before the election. The Legislature could have all sued to stop their AG’s, or Secretaries from issuing the ballots. Had the GOP fought this battle before the election, then Texas would have a legal trail and a better case of disenfranchised voters in Texas because those five States violated their own State Constitutions. The GOP was out to lunch as always.

I’ve been saying that for quite some time now, and have been vilified by many FReepers for saying so.

No they did not. They said they would accept the briefs. That’s different from hearing the case.

The only good thing about door 3 is that this will force Martial law and military tribunals against those involved in the conspiracy to overthrow the government.

SCOTUS is not going to do anything that would send the nation into “hot” chaos. By punting this they would be playing for time, hoping that things will straighten out “in the future.” They would be playing the coward rather than doing what the law requires. I am not at all surprised.

Free Republic's seemingly small "Reality-Based Community" has to have thick skin.

Get ready for the flames such as:

You must be RINOs!

You must be on the take from the PRC!

You voted for Biden! Etc, etc.

There will be no martial law.

I thought in a case of original jurisdiction, one between states, that the Supreme Court had to take the case because there is no other recourse for the states to redress their grievances between each other.

They may not rule in favor of Texas but I think they have to take the case.

Otherwise, the Republic is lost. Illegally run and unconstitutional elections by the states will rule the day. These justices aren't that stupid. Or are they?
