Texas has filed its reply with #SCOTUS. Now we wait to see what the Justices will do with this multi-state election challenge.

If you appease violence you get more violence not less

I seem to remember something in history about "Peace in our time".

I also remember that did not end well.

You get it.....the SC conservatives would be on a suicide mission it they allow states to violate the constitution

SCOTUS punts.

Democrats pack the court.

The current SCOTUS no longer exists.

Human nature usually is to protect yourself. The SCOTUS is no different. They can be powerful or not. What will they choose?

“Declare war on China already.”

Who do you expect to declare war on China?

Probably the one thing that is predictable here is that we have reached a point dissolution - there are no beliefs or principles held in common between the two sides,,,plus we have the obvious situation of malign outside forces entering in on one side of the conflict.

I think the court sees this situation as clearly as any of us here do and I don’t think they are as craven as many seem to think. If they are that craven, then wealth and position will do them little good in the coming years anyway as the country turns into a very violent, impoverished place. And if they are that craven, none of this matters even in the slightest as we morph into Big Somalia.

I think it quite possible that they (the majority) don’t seek out the easiest solution, or run and hide from history. It is this kind of moment that makes greatness and if we are going to survive this the “man” must rise to meet that moment. I think they do look to their posterity and legacy and that they see that what they do right her and now will be their contribution to the future of their own society. I don’t they will look away at this moment...or punt as many say. Why’d they bother to get to this place, if that’s all they are looking to do? They could have been more wealthy and secure in many different ways if they were just looking to act on their own personal interest.

I think they see that this is their moment.

To save the NATION, SCOTUS should take the case and RULE at the same time that FRAUD DID OCCUR!

Remedy to be a new election with photo ID, signature verification, no mass mail in ballots, no voting machines, paper ballots ONLY. All examination, counting and tabulating to be videotaped. Only ballots with UNBROKEN chain of custody to be counted.

The Republic under the Constitution was over at noon on Usurpation Day January 20, 2009 when both parties abrogated it by swearing in the Kenyan from Indonesia.

Obama is not a natural born citizen.

Words have meaning or the Constitution is an illusion.

the Founders provided a purely political process to resolve these matters.

Wasn't that kind of simple-minded thinking obliterated by Marbury v Madison 200 years ago, which held that all laws, statutes, administrative actions, and political appointments at the state and Federal level are subject to judicial review?

The case is not really about just the fraud it’s about the unconstitutional changing of election laws by unelected officials.

I fully expect that they will punt but in Trump's favor. Here's how I see it:

SCOTUS will rule that the states DID violate the Federal Constitution thus ruling the votes invalid and passing it off to each state's Legislature to pick the electors since the four Legislatures were legally elected by The People and best represent The People's will.

This follows the election laws of the US Constitution and passes the buck from Federal interference to the State doing it's duty.

Replying to OP to avoid chasing everyone’s comments.

A ‘punt’ is not actually going to produce a ‘kick the can’ result and Everyone Knows It. Only the MSM would say that and they’d be lying and, again, Everyone Knows It.

Further, just because normal people don’t burn down (their own) businesses on command (and WHO gave that command?) doesn’t mean that they’ll put up with this.

Does anyone actually imagine the shortage of defensive supplies is because people were prepping for surrender?

So basically Texas is saying that PA’s response was “No we didn’t cheat, and so what if we did”

If we can lose Trump after his huge landslide, we will surely lose the senate no matter how many legal votes are cast

It is no different. But if the subpremes decide to reject the case from hearing they will doubtless come up with some bullshyte like Roberts wrote to piss Obamacare on the nation.
