There is a line in an old Tom Clancy book where Jack Ryan’s son and one of his cousins are talking about Sociopaths. They say “The unsuccessful ones are called Sociopaths. The successful ones are called...Mr. President.”
For those that don’t know, the irony of that statement is that his father had become president by then.
Being a sociopath is like being a black and white thinker. It has its good points and its bad points. I wouldn’t want to be married to one, but they make excellent CEO’s, Judges, Generals, etc.
I do not believe sociopaths they make excellent _anything_, except some of them may be good at basket weaving.
If you have ever worked for one of them, no further explanation is necessary.
They destroy morale.
