600,000 vials is only 300,000 patients since two shots are required. Don’t see how that covers the entire state.

Five shots/vial so 3 million doses or enough for 1.5 million people theoretically. The five shots per vial caught my eye because the ultra cold vial has to be handled and 5 individual doses drawn from it. How long can it be out of the cold? How many of these vials will be dropped because of the gloves required to handle? How many will get frostbite from injections given too soon while still ultra cold?

Actually, 600,000 vials is 3 million doses for the Pfizer vaccine (600,000*5 doses) since it has to be diluted and each vial contains enough for 5 doses once diluted properly with 9% USP saline.
I was just reading the labels for Moderna and Pfizer’s vaccines because we had to give the memory care an answer regarding giving my father the vaccine (one of my siblings wanted us to review the ingredients for possible allergens).
