Newsmax TV scored its first ratings victory over rival Fox News Channel, eclipsing the Murdoch-owned outlet in a key demographic on Monday night.
“Greg Kelly Reports,” which airs 7-8 p.m. EST, beat “The Story with Martha McCallum” in the 25- to 54-year-old audience demographic. Kelly drew an average of 229,000 viewers for the hour while McCallum pulled in 203,000, CNN reported.
"We're here to stay," Newsmax CEO Christopher Ruddy said Tuesday evening to CNN. "The ratings are showing that."
Newsmax TV has shown exponential growth in viewership since Nov. 3, a trend media outlets have attributed to resentment at Fox News for its coverage of the election.

That’s more a delicious embarrassment to Fox than anything else. Could be time for lay offs at Fox. Bonuses at Newsmax.
This is also a testament to the power of the “deplorables”, “right wingers” and “silent majority”. Underestimating us is a mistake that’s being made by the senators in GA as well imo.

Newsmax is good, but it needs a lot more reporters and top anchors. Spicer is not the answer. Kelly is terrific.
Higher ratings mean more money means more top quality reporters.

I never could understand why Martha continually had Swallowell on her program throughout the russia and impeachment hoax. She would always get irritated with him because of his lying, yet she continued to bring him back on and give him his platform to lie.
I once thought she was one of the authentic ‘good guys’ in media. Then came election night.... and she proved she is just another dime-a-dozen media hacks.
Spicer is not very good.
Martha is Controlled Opposition. The irritation was scripted.
Maybe but newsmax is owned by Christopher Ruddy. Christopher Ruddy is not likely to sell he is a real news man and he is probably having a lot of fun with newsmax.
I watch newsmaxTV in my web browser so I think the readership is likely higher then reported here.

Yeah - My friend worked for a Family-owned business and the father put his blood, sweat, and tears into it and really built it up. When he passed, the kids bought cars, yachts and summer homes... Ran it into the ground.
The Murdoch kids seem to be “cashing in” in a different way, but the effect will be the same.
