Sorry, this isn’t the flu and China is to blame.

It isn’t EXACTLY the flu, but with a 99.5-99.9% survival rate it isn’t exactly the Black Death either. It is something higher risk individuals like myself need to take into account, but not something we need to give up all our liberties for. And it is NOT worth having all young people go unemployed for years over, and Trump should have been PRAISED for all he did to mitigate things.

Don’t know if you agree or not.

Yes, yes, SARS-CoV-2 does not cause influenza, and influenza viruses do not cause COVID-19. We all know that, so you can stop pointing it out every single day. Likening COVID to the flu is just a way of comparing the similar degrees of lethality of the two diseases. It might make you happier to refer to COVID as a really bad cold, but “coldbros and coldbras” just doesn’t have the same ring to it.

As for blaming China: The coronavirus came from China, true, not unlike each year’s flu variety. Maybe it was even released deliberately; I don’t know. What I do know is that the governors, mayors, and public health “experts” responsible for all of the unnecessary lockdowns, mask mandates, business and school closures, and other coronavirus-related economic destruction aren’t Chinese.
