I wonder if 200 or 300 years in the future, they’ll look back on these rockets like the way we look back at Conestoga wagons and they’ll wonder how we traveled such great distances in such primitive vehicles.
Things like this have become so routine that kids will never have the exciting experience of watching liftoffs from Canaveral that many of us did, especially in the 60s.

spacex stream has something like 300k viewers, the nasaspaceflight stream had 275k viewers..
Somehow I don’t figure that to be kids for the most part, though. Millions use to tune into the NASA liftoffs, especially the big ones - e.g.Shepard, Glenn, Apollos.

If I can’t get to excited by it, I can’t expect others to. It lacks the “boldly going where no man has gone before” draw that I grew up with.
Since a lot of it is just hauling equipment up to chuck out into orbit for misc corps, it would be somewhat analogous to me to getting excited over long haul trucking.
Nice wonderful memories of grander days when things were “new”, tho.
