Convinced my buddy to change the oil in his 1974 Chevy Nova, and it “ruint” the engine. He hadn’t ever changed it.

No, if you don’t care for it consistantly after a time the sludge buildup becomes the seals!

(Sludge also lines the valve guides and keeps the valve stems running straight. Remove that build up and they chatter and risk breaking!)
