I don’t think it was Julie Andrews, but the actress was English. Sally Anne Howe.
Watching that was one of several movies growing up that showed up once a year and I was allowed to stay up to watch.
Others include The Wizard of Oz and It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World and The Incredible Mr. Limpet (with Don Knotts).
