“has been airing on HGTV”
I like to watch some of the shows on HGTV but this is why I don’t watch it. It is a homosexual channel. Every show has a homosexual couple in it, and the commercials are just as bad. But if you watch TV you can’t avoid it.
HGTV used to be a nice channel. My wife and I started watching it back when the channel first aired in the 90's. We had a C-Band dish, and the channel was free for awhile during its testing phase. I wish I could remember all the shows we used to watch back then.
When it was still called Home and Garden Television, they had much more varied programming than they do now. Many of the shows were only about gardening, which is practically nonexistent on the channel now. One of the best shows in HGTV history was "A Gardener's Diary" in which gardener Erica Glazener would travel around the country visiting homes with impressive gardens. There was a nice show with a guy named Paul James called "Gardening By the Yard". He basically went over the ins and outs of backyard gardening and lawn maintenance.
There was a crafts show called The Carol Duvall show. Carol was sort of a nice grandmother type who would have on artists or craftspeople from various companies to show new products and techniques. My wife loved it. They would also have seasonal specials on. Fortunately I made a VHS (since transferred to DVD) of one called "Celebrating Autumn", in which several locations in the country with spectacular Autumn displays were highlighted.
At some point, they completely jumped the shark, and several of the shows we liked were abruptly canceled. More gay designer types started showing up. The seasonal specials were gone. No gardening. Now all they seem to have are variations on House Hunters and all sorts of house-flipper shows.
