State police raided the home of a former Department of Health data scientist who is accusing Florida officials of wrongfully firing her for refusing to manipulate COVID-19 statistics.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement served the search warrant at Rebekah Jones’ Tallahassee home Monday morning in connection with an investigation into who hacked the state’s internal notification system with a message urging state employees to come forward with information about Florida’s handling of the pandemic.
The alert read: “It’s time to speak up before another 17,000 people are dead. You know this is wrong. You don’t have to be a part of this. Be a hero. Speak out before it’s too late.”
Jones, a vocal critic of Gov. Ron DeSantis’ handling of the pandemic, tweeted a video of agents entering her home Monday morning with guns drawn.

Four writers for this dreck and not a one knows what “hack” means. They use the term along with “glitch” to describe anything IT.
Let her prove she was forced to “manipulate” data. She’s the one doing the accusing. Florida has many elderly residents, so I would expect their numbers to be a bit higher than average anyway.
I have no country left to save.
We live in a police state. A surveillance state. Government is corrupt from top to bottom. The intelligence agencies are acting as Gestapo for the New World Order and the Deep State.
We live in a banana republic.
It was nice while it lasted. The American experiment the Founders fought and died to give us the gift of, is lost and gone. The said we had a Republic “if we could keep it” and we couldn’t keep it.
It was predicted. Democracies only last 200 years or so. We are close to 250. We lasted longer than most. Longer than we should have. We are right on time for collapse.
Every day I thank the Lord my God that I was born in the 1950s and not now, so that my life can end sooner than later, and I will not have to witness the worst of what is coming. Praise the Lord in his Wisdom. I lucked out. My only wish is that I was not born 20 years earilier.
The first officer thru the door DID NOT have his weapon out and pointed. PERIOD. She held her hands up as she opened the door.
Some officers did have guns drawn. Need to know why.
What were they afraid of, or looking for?
Staged might be a little too strong a word for the whole episode but she sure did some acting. Maybe wants an emmy. I’d give her an “enema” instead.
You spoke the truth and I feel the same. We lost something great, it will be a dark future just as biden said. Many were sheep and never appreciated what they had. I have always been grateful for my country and all those that sacrificed for it. My wife thinks this is about losing an election and I tried to explain that this it is about losing everything.
You obviously didn’t grasp what a nutcase she is and how she was manipulating data to make it worse and then claiming she was fired for not manipulating data - also evidence of hacking and other crimes involved.
IOW, she’s one fighting to lock us all down “for our own good” and working over time to make it happen.
Then I stand corrected. That is what I get for being hasty.
We all do it and end p getting “chastised” by other pompous asses (I plead guilty on both facets) - part of life.
Trying to set another meme about Texas suing other States for breaking their own election laws...
The Electoral College was set up to give every State standing - any States rigging what happened with the Electoral Collège affects all the other States and disenfranchises the whole process. If the States don’t have standing, then the Electoral Collège has, in-fact, been gotten rid of and is only a sham.
