A Louisiana woman was arrested and charged, Sunday, after another woman's wig was pulled off her head and 'set on fire' during an argument that also involved the brandishing of 'a knife and a shovel.'
The spat, involving Sherita L. Griffin, 34, and another woman, began at 8:30 a.m. outside a home in Clayton Street, Port Allen, near to Baton Rouge, police said.
According to an affidavit obtained by Baton Rouge's WAFB-TV, the argument soon became physical and Griffin allegedly hit the woman.
The other woman allegedly stabbed Griffin with a knife.
Things got particularly heated when Griffin pulled the other woman's wig off. She then took out a 'cigarette lighter to set the wig on fire,' police said.
Police intervened when Griffin allegedly tried to hit the other woman with a shovel.
Griffin was arrested and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on Sunday.
She allegedly admitted to a number of charges, which include aggravated assault, simple arson and fistic encounter. It's unknown if she is still being held or whether she has an attorney.
It isn't clear whether the other woman was arrested.
