Mostly agree. The dollar will not fare well in a civil war. Gold and Silver coin might not be a bad idea. But I guess that’s a form of cash too.

On the domestic front, I am being periodically hammered over what i would describe as costs for quasi-normal dual purpose prep stuff, with the mortgage as the hammer of choice.
One approach with potential for resolution therefore is to make the mortgage problem go away.
