Anyone who likes wine will plan the meal to the bottle.

So, if you spend between $20 and $30 for a bottle your recipient will be well pleased.

After 50 years of drinking wine and working at fine restaurants in Miami where we were given classes on fine wines, I have to say you can not go wrong with a French Bordeaux or Burgundy wine which you can get for $15-20 as a gift or a wine to enjoy with your meal. You can say what you want, but you simply cannot get a better wine for a fair price than a good French wine! Spanish Rioja, and a good Italian Chianti are also good choices to match your meal. Also easily purchased for $15-30. Fire away if you like, but that’s my two cents.
