A nice bottle of a red blend is ALWAYS GOOD!! There are very expensive bottles, Quintessa, Issolis, Opus One for something REALLY special BUT for something that is a really good wine at a reasonable price Kendall Jackson Summation, there are MANY red blends in the 20.00 - 25.00 range they are all very good!!! Costco has a GREAT wine selection and very good prices!!

I had to laugh the other night about an old Anthony Bourdain show, he taught us what all the oldtimers know, Beef Bourgeon is best made with the cheap cuts and you dont need no French burgundy, the box stuff from America works good.

This also works great with venison

Bon appites

After 50 years of drinking wine and working at fine restaurants in Miami where we were given classes on fine wines, I have to say you can not go wrong with a French Bordeaux or Burgundy wine which you can get for $15-20 as a gift or a wine to enjoy with your meal. You can say what you want, but you simply cannot get a better wine for a fair price than a good French wine! Spanish Rioja, and a good Italian Chianti are also good choices to match your meal. Also easily purchased for $15-30. Fire away if you like, but that’s my two cents.

The best bang for the buck, even here in the US, is always French.

Just sayin’.
