After a group of people, who meet online, discover a bizarre graphic novel which seems to hold mysterious answers, they find themselves being tracked down by a merciless organization known merely as 'The Network'. (extreme violent content, including torture and murder.)

This is one of the best I have seen in awhile. Hint: A vaccine to save the world? Would you kill to get it in play? It opens with a guy like the comic store guy in the Simpsons and a customer coming to a bad end. A real deep state. Trust MI5? ha! Trust CIA? ha! Trust your friends? Very well filmed. Characters that are interesting and 'out there'.
Extreme violence, language and torture. I am 2 episodes into season 2. Looks there is an American remake from this year with John Cusack? Will be crap, I imagine.

Yes the 2020 version is very woke. The 2013 series is brilliant. There is more character development in the 2013 series.
