Just because I repeated the “lingo” did not mean I intended to condescend; you, however, now imply that all such “lingo” taints the whole brand, which is condescension.
It is not incorrect to say “both parties” (no shouting) when the actions of a majority of one particular party overshadow the stated party platform. Yes, it does reflect upon all members, since the truly conservative members now look like they gave tacit approval.
Your insistence on promoting the party name over the ideology of conservatism is where you go wrong, with all due respect. You need to get over that. And if you feel that you are being lectured, then you need to get over that as well. Also, read the books The Conscience of a Conservative and The Naked Communist to see what has been going on for several decades—yes, with the GOP.
