Wow. He is corrupted or compromised in some way. That is the only option in my mind, if he really did say that. One can never tell with the media.

He is of the government. This is a government of the government by the government and for the government. They will not allow their power to be compromised by the people they rule.
At least the scales should fall off everyone’s eyes.
We elected a president who was isolated and ostracized by the government he was supposed to lead. As such he was made the weakest president we’ve ever put in that place. And we expected him to be strong...and Lord knows he tried....with literally nothing to work with. He was besieged and rendered powerless.
We needed a revolution and elected a president. We didn’t do well by him. You can not change a government establishment like this. You must destroy it and it’s members completely and build from scratch. That’s the only way it can be done.
Now, it is going to be very long, difficult road. The government establishment is quite awake to the threat. Not likely in our lifetimes will we see government of, by and for the people again.
