Well, the Just A Flu has infected my Mother and Stepfather who are both in their 70s. The source my Stepfather’s brother 79 is hospitalized on the same drug they put Trump on. Looks like both of my sisters and their daughters have been exposed while taking care of my mother 75. and are getting tested today. Mary my sister (53), I am concern because she had a major health issue in the last couple of months that was never resolved.
Update: My 50-year-old cousin is not in any better condition, the Just A Flu has done major damage to his heart and lungs. He has a long way to go until recovery if he recovers. His wife is still running a fever but at home.
My wife’s Son and daughter in law are both infected and recovering nicely. I am thankful that I cancel the Thanksgiving meal at my house this year. We will not have family over for Christmas now due to Just A Flu.
People die of the flu every year.
People die of pneumonia every year.
Almost 3 million Americans die every year.
Was your family following masking and distancing protocols?
If so, how did they get sick?
How long do we destroy society and the economy for?
“We will not have family over for Christmas now due to Just A Flu.”
My brother died in a car crash. Therefor, we need a 10 mph national speed limit. Because every life matters!
The point is NOT that a very few people WILL die if/when they catch the China Flu. The point is that our gross national overreaction is totally out or proportion, and that the Constitution doesn’t cease to exist because a few people die.
Our population increases by roughly 2 million a year. Even if 2 million died, as a society, all it would mean is we went ONE YEAR without a growing population.
Thank you for the updates you’ve provided here, and I’m truly sorry to hear about all the illness in your family right now. I hope they’re all able to recover fully soon, though I recognize your cousin is in a particularly difficult place right now.
I’m also sorry for all the abuse you’re suffering here. Some people can’t separate the politics from the human experience. It’s interesting to see people talk about masks being “dehumanizing” even as they rip into someone whose family is sick and dying for daring to challenge their narrative that the whole thing doesn’t exist.
To mock, accuse, and minimize the very real and very human suffering and death of a person’s loved ones is more dehumanizing than any mask or distancing ever could be.
Some people need to learn to separate their objections to government policies and responses from an emotional desire to make a specific narrative of reality be true. You can accept the reality of what’s happening while still objecting to the responses of governments and there’s nothing wrong with that. Where it becomes wrong is when you lash out in anger at those who share what’s happening to their own family because that doesn’t match with your personal agenda. THAT is dehumanizing.
